Hi all,
There has been several inquiries about AFM again so I thought I would post
hospitals that have implimented AFM. Many have LCs that have written
policies and procedures, but I do not feel comfortable sending out the ones I
have without their consent. St. Joseph Hospital in NEWMANSTOWN, PA.(Martha
Kautz, RNC, BS, IBCLC) having been doing AFM for over 6 years. KU Medical
Center in Kansa City, KS--- Lethbridge Regional Hospital in Lethbridge,
Canada--- Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, NY--- Emanual Hospital in
Beaverton, OR--- Good Samaritan Hospital in Beaverton, OR. Most of the
above are cup feeding, and other AFM. I need to do an update survey in US
hospitals using AFM. This survey was done a few years ago, so I am sure
there are probably many more hospitals using AFM that have P&P in place.
Anyone out there that has any, please e-mail me. Kay Hoover and I have
tryed to keep updated over the years, but you know how these projects end up
on the back burner.
