were
absorbed systemically, they would not be on the market for use.

While I don't question his information on this subject it struck me
that that is exactly the problem with formula promotion.  Too many
people-professionals as well as parents-assume it wouldn't be on the
market if it wasn't proven safe!  Then even when there are problems
(such as diarrhea with the "new" formulas) the product it self is
the last "culprit" to be suspected!
