Today I was asked if the local news could come talk to me about
breastfeeding. It was a great opportunity because I was teaching a
quarterly breastfeeding class to the nursing staff. They taped me teaching
about "father nursing," but the topic they most wanted to discuss was the
incident about the women being forced to drink breastmilk. They wanted to
know my opinion about whether or not it would deter women from
breastfeeding. I'll get to see at 5:30 how well I answered the question. I
was very nervous, but I had fun. I like to take any opportunity that I can
to promote breastfeeding to the public. (They weren't too interested in
the display that I had in the lobby for WBW, but they did tape a mom
breastfeeding her baby in her room :o)
