I checked the archives and Hale's book. And I gave the mother all the info
for her to make a decision. However I am wondering is there any new info on
FDA approval for peds use of this drug? I noted in Tom's book that this
might be forthcoming.
Her doc says he would prescribe (for chronic UTI) but the pedi says to wean
to formula. The mom was astonished at the ped's non-support, she even told
the doc at the very least she would pump to support her milk supply if she
really had to d/c bf temporarily. BTW baby is a thriving 3 mo old
exclusively bf.
