I went in to see a pt. today whose baby was less than 24 hours old.
Her pedi has us see all his moms whether they need it or not, so when
he orders formula he feels like he supports breastfeeding.

I walked in and couldn't believe my eyes. This baby was swaddled
tighter than any baby I've ever seen, AND she was in a swing. They
brought their swing from home, to put their brand new baby in! I
asked if she had been extra fussy and the mom said, no, she had been
an angel. I explained why it's not a good idea to keep them so
tightly swaddled, and she should be close to her mom and said she
probably didn't even realize she had been born and thought she was
still being fed through her umbilical cord, cause not much else had
changed.

Just had to vent. Thirteen years, I thought I had seen everything
that could shock me.
