Dear Lacineters,

I have a pt. with NO areolar tissue... she has small, soft (for now breasts) & 
everted nipples, which have become very redened & sore over the past few 
days. I have never ran into this atomical chalange before! He opens his mouth 
wide, but even I am confused as to how he is suppose to effectively compress 
the milk out of the breast & not tear up mom's nipples. He was delivered 2 
days ago, and I did began hydrogel therapy on mom yesterday, which she 
states has soothed them, but experiences pain with each latch. 
Any suggestions???
