I will be doing a home visit on a 4 mo old that has been nursing with
the nipple shield since birth.  This babe has been seen repeatedly.  Mom
had probs with flat nipples and difficulty BRF 1st babe.  She left the
hosp after delivery pumping with a double piston pump and nursing with
the shield.  I have encouraged rebirthing bath, skin to skin, etc.  This
Mom has been so grateful that the babe has nursed, even with shield.
Reason for the visit now is that babe is not gaining well.  MD has
started supplementing with ABM.  Mom wants help trying to get babe to
breast.

ANY ideas would be most appreciated.
