Hello, everyone! My name is Mary McMullen and I'm a new subscriber to
LACTNET. I currently work with the W.I.C. population in Arizona and have
heard many anecdotal reports from mothers regarding the powers of oatmeal
(eaten as a hot cereal) in increasing breastmilk supply. A recent letter
from another LACTNET subscriber described her successful experience using
oatmeal (among other holistic and relaxation techniques) to restore a good
breastmilk supply to a mom newly on Depo-Provera. Can anyone tell me the
mechanism, if any, by which this may be true? Thank you, and I'm very glad
to be a part of these sharing sessions!
