Just a thought on the heat and bovine supply problems.... (from where we've had nothing but rain for the last month and would love to send some eastward where it's really needed)

Let's think of what life is like for a cow in a drought.  The grass they graze on is dry- even dead, their watering holes have also dried up and even the dried leaves on the trees don't offer much protection from the heat and sun where the cow spends her day- of course they may be looking at dehydration!

If a nuring mother had little moisture in her food, stayed out in the sun and heat where she perspired all day, and only had a chance to drink twice a day she would be setting herself up for a lower milk supply because of dehydration too.  I agree that especially in a heat wave, most mothers spend their time in air conditioned cars, homes, stores, etc. or they would need to spend time in a pool to keep cool.
