A great resource for information on nursing during pregnancy is Adventures
in Tandem Nursing, by Hilary Flower, available from www.llli.org In the
majority of cases, there is no need to wean. The mother may find that her
milk supply is quite low, however, and should be keeping a careful eye on
the baby's diapers.

And yes, how much a baby nurses will certainly impact the timing of
menstrual cycles. It's not unusual for a woman to notice a 'delay' in her
period in response to an ill baby who has been nursing much more frequently,
for example.
