Mary... this is such a worry in the current medicalized climate that it's
being discussed today on THREE email lists I'm on - this one, a doula list
and a Bradley instructors' list.  One of the instructors in town just had
a class end a couple of weeks ago, and 3 of her *7* students have had CS
so far.  It's insane!

I am GLAD I'm not having babies these days... and even gladder than my
daughter has vowed never to have another baby in a hospital.  Her last one
was at a lovely birth center with wonderful midwives, and her next one
will be at home with the same midwives.
