According to newspaper article below, high nitrates are a danger to breastfeeding moms.
I knew that high nitrate levels in water were a danger to babies, but I never knew they were also dangerous to breastfeeding mothers?
High nitrate levels are common here, on our farms.  (I always thought this was a good arguement for breastfeeding - my sister lives on the farm where her husband was raised.  Her MIL could never use the water when bottlefeeding my sister's husband, but my sister breastfed her babies, so no bother.)
