Very wonderful surprise in a good book my dd brought home from library.

Book about new sibling joining the family. When baby comes home from hospital, mom is illustrated breastfeeding baby in chair, bathrobe fully open. (no mention about the breastfeeding, though, in the story on that page).

But on the next page... the story reads:
"When Lexi came home, she asked to go to the park. Mommy said she could go later, after she nursed the baby. Lexi asked, "Can I try, Mom?" Mommy said, "OK." So Lexi tried nursing. "It tasted kind of funny," she told Teddy.

That made my day, to read that in a book from the public library - I wonder how many other kids (and parents) in my small town have read this, too??? Makes me smile.

"That's My Baby?" by Andrea Wayne von Konigslow (with a name like that, perhaps its a Canadian reprint from another country? Published by Annick Press Ltd. (with support from Cdn grants).
