Just to clarify, the Mothers' Milk Bank at Austin does accept milk collected before the initial screening is done, as long as the mother was not on any medications during the time it was pumped. But for the most part we aren't currently accepting out of state donors because of the high cost of shipping. We have occassionally made an exception if the out-of-state mom has vast amounts of milk, though. Certainly, if the donor covers the shipping we can provide insulated shipping boxes and will accept the milk.
