Oh wise lactnetters - has anyone done anything looking at low vitamin D levels and low prolactin levels? Have had several patients coming back with this type of result and am wanting to find out if this is an artifact or something worth pursuing.

Subject: Improving Vitamin D levels in pregnancy and lactation

Presented Dec 2014 by neonatologist Carol Wagner.

Public Health Initiative: Meeting the Vitamin D Requirements of the Pregnant Woman and Improving Health Outcomes; NICHD Vitamin D Lactation Summary Data

If I've done this properly, the links to the video and paper should be below. The paper discusses the link between Vitamin D deficiency and higher levels of pre-term birth, whereas the video also discusses levels of maternal Vit D needed to raise the levels in breastmilk, as an alternative to supplementing the breastfed baby.
