Dear Netters,
If anyone is willing to share their polices, our hospital has finally decided
to join the ranks and try to appear breastfeeding friendly. However, the
pediatricians are not too cooperative. I had submitted polices according to
the Ten Steps, but they felt it was too harsh...My snail mail address is 1177
Kings Ave., Bensalem, Pa., 19020.
The peds and the obs would like to see what other hospitals are doing. So
actually, I would be interested in any info, policy on breastfeeding,
alternate feeding methods and rooming in and how long your babies stay in the
nursery on admission. T.I.A.for all your assistance.

Thank you Kathleen Auerbach for your advice on how to handle my meeting, it
was a success. We will be forming a task force to improve communication and
breastfeeding support, after all the docs meet first to settle their
breastfeeding issues.
Thanks to all for your support,
                                      Ellen Taylor
