You're right, they don't. The infant Hercules is never shown being fed by
his parents during the Disney film. However, a couple of kidnapping goblins
sponsored by Hades feed the infant Hercules a purple concoction designed to
rob him of his godly nature. The purple slime was in a baby bottle, further
confirming my six year old daughter's belief that baby bottles are
instruments of evil.

The infant Hercules sleeps in a cradle with his pet, the infant Pegasus, in a
room separate from his parents. My daughter sagely remarked, "If he had been
sleeping with his parents, he would never have gotten kidnapped!"

By the way, the plot in this film bears no resemblance to the stories from
Bullfinch's mythology that I read and loved as a child. Disney has changed
everything but the name Hercules, and not necessarily for the better.

Best wishes,
Rita
