I have no advice for you but I've been that mother -- and my baby was
airlifted down to Loma Linda which is a 3 hour drive away from us b/c our
hospital couldn't handle a case as severe as his. I would've liked to have
had more support. The LC didn't see me until my son was off the ventilator
and able to take oral feeds. I didn't have any LC support or help for
pumping. I relied on my sister-in-law who is a LLL Leader for information
on the best pumping schedule I should follow and how to store my milk in the
hotel room overnight before taking it into the hospital (do I put it in the
fridge or freezer etc.)  And there was no emotional support for me at all;
nobody to reassure me (other than my sister in law, that is and she did a
FANTASTIC job of being there for both practical and emotional support) that
providing my breastmilk was key even if I couldn't actually nurse my baby.
I'm glad to see someone working on getting something going and please be
sure to include emotional support for the mum. It was very tough for me to
not be able to nurse my baby for the first week of his life. Had I had more
emotional support in the hospital (both for not being able to nurse and just
to deal with the trauma of having my baby be so critically ill etc.) I might
have had such a bad time of it with severe post partrum depression.
