Maria said:>I received a call from a Nestle rep asking if they could demo a new nursing cover they have designed to
my moms group. They plan on giving these "hooter hiders" out on the postpartum units as a free gift in their support of breastfeeding - ha!< I have not heard of this, but it appears to be another brilliant marketing idea: They will "support" breastfeeding by making it look shameful! By helping to hide it from the public! By adding unecessary equipment to a simple function! By drawing attention to the nervous new mother as she fumbles awkwardly with the nursing cover with a fussy baby in her arms! This will surely make bottle-feeding seem much less trouble, and far more publicly acceptable.
