I don't think 2 oz is a good feeding for a month old baby boy. The
average intake at one month for a male baby is more like 4-6 oz per
feeding at breast. Was it a full feeding that you test-weighed on, or a
10 minute segment?

This baby may be ill from his low milk intake, or he may have a
metabolic disorder that is decompensating. Liver function starts to
deteriorate when intake is low for an extended period of time, and
several metabolic alterations set in. It can be difficult to tell a baby
who has a metabolic disorder from one who is starved at first, without
specific blood tests.

For now, can you get mom increasing her milk production, and get that
milk into the baby much, much more often?
