Hi from Australia,
Can someone explain to me how WIC can hand out formula when the WHO code says Point3. No promotion of products ... including no free or low cost formula.
        Point5. ...Health workers should never pass products on to mothers.
I agree with Joy we seem to have a much higher initiation rate 80- 90%, dropping by 1/2 at 6 weeks. I wouldn't like to go to handing out free formula .
What does WIC actually stand for (I realise it's a variation of welfare.)?
