One section from that message about Thailand's hospitals:
"I was told that despite rooming-in there had been a problem with jaundice.
They got rid of the cots, put the babies in the beds, and the jaundice
stopped."

So I have to ask what I think the staff at my hospital will:
1) What about babies who have a Bili of 8+ in the first 24 hours? In my
hosp, they are immediately put under double or triple lights & allowed to
feed in the nursery (not at mom's bedside because she'll keep baby too long
& just play with him) for 30 min out of every 3 hours.
2) What about babies falling out of mom's bed? The hospital will be liable!
3) What about moms on narcotic pain meds? They'll overlie baby. We can't be
standing guard all night!!
You get the picture.
Phyllis
