Hello lactnetters.

I have permission to post the following.

The patient has a 14 month old with severe allergies to cow/goat/soy/nuts.
The patient has been free of these food in her diet for over a year with
good results. The child is starting to become very active and disinterested
in nursing as of late. The patient is looking for alternatives if the child
does in fact wean.

Does anyone have information regarding alternatives to cow/goat/soy/almond
milk? The patient has tried rice milk but her pediatricians would like a
milk with more fatty acids and fats in it. I recommended finding oat milk.

Has anyone used a milk and added flax seed oil or something simliar to make
a better milk substitute?

Any suggestions?
