I have the first edition of this book, and found it very informative.
LC's usually need to read between the lines when reading books written
for other professions, there are no predigested answers for
breastfeeding problems here, but there is a grounding in oral motor
function and dysfunction and therapies that is invaluable for our work.
One caution: some of the author's statements about developmental changes
in suck are not supported by American and British imaging studies, but
do have some support from recent Japanese work on sucking in older
babies (on bottles, of course).
