Does anyone know what effect nursing has on potassium and iron levels in a
mother? Would nursing less than an hour total per day have that much of an
effect on the mother? I am inclined to believe that she just needs to
improve her own diet rather than do a sudden weaning of her child.>>>>>

Low iron levels (anemia) can really impact fatigue and even a milk
supply...although that doesn't seem to be the issue here. There are many
simple things she can do to increase her iron intake and eat on the run..just
takes a little preparation. Good things for toddlers to eat too, protein
snacks like deviled eggs, quick "wraps" or salads with beets, dark green
leafy veg, meats and other protein foods, even a quick drink mixed up from
the health food store.
