Thankyou Diana for the resources. I have a friend who was diagnosed with hypoplasia (I believe only one breast) in adolescence. The doctor who diagnosed the hypoplasia, when she was still a teenager told her that it was due to her annorexia and that she would never breastfeed. Somehow, despite living her adult life with that diagnosis hanging over her she somehow found the resources, internal or otherwise, to go on and trust in her body and breastfeed both babies (the first experience was difficult with early seperation and baby under bilirubin lights and she did a lot of pumping and took domperidone - but the second was breastfed exclusively from the outset). I don't know if this consideration (that of the mother's confidence in her own body) adds anything to your studies, Alice FarrowLLL Leader, Itally
