My 10-year-old daughter had severely crowded teeth, with more teeth
coming in and nowhere to go, and her orthodontia included a device that
expanded her palate. The orthodontist thought her tongue tie was one
reason for the narrow palate, and part of the treatment was having her
frenulum clipped (by her dentist). There was some soreness for a couple
of days, but it was easy and quick. Thankfully, her tongue-tie never
interfered with breastfeeding.
