Wash the hair in urine.  Kills the lice and is physiologic and you don't
have to walk around wearing mayonaise for 2 days.  I did this for my preg.
sister-in-law years ago.  She was a day care director and had a defiant case
of lice that wouldn't clear up no matter what she did and doctor wouldn't
let her use toxic shampoo.  We sat around one evening as she cried from
sheer frustration, and I made my husband and brother-in-law pee in an empty
milk jug and we doused her head.  Then followed with rinse and reg. shampoo,
combed with nit comb and that was the end of the infestation. It's nasty,
but it was very effective.  Make sure the urine donor is healthy. Mother
could use her own urine.
