Jennifer, there are some things about this situation that do no "add
up." The baby was gaining weight appropriately. That meant she had
enough milk.

<<With my first son, I always suspected that I had a low supply because
I never really felt my milk come in, I never really felt full (even if
the baby slept through a feeding). Although the baby was gaining weight
and output seemed OK he didn't seem satisfied much of the time. How
often was she breastfeeding? I have seen a lot of mothers insist that
they have low supplies when in fact the baby is doing well. I have also
seen a lot of mothers who interpret fussy baby behavior to be low
supply, when in fact it is a development of preference for fast flow
from a bottle. Did she supplement with bottles?

Kathleen
