There is a first-person account by a pumping mom who was flying yesterday
without her baby. She was not allowed to take her blue ice-packs on the
plane, and when she inquired how she would keep her pumped milk cold, she
was told that she would not be able to keep it anyhow, she would have to
dump it.. (She did not have pumped milk with her yet, so this was a
theoretical situation as to traveling with pumped milk without a baby. It
seems that you will be allowed to have formula or pumped milk, if you are
actually flying with a baby.)
She decided not to fly, and called her congressperson and the local media.
