Hello,
I am reacting to "Erratic MER";
You seem to have surrounded all possibilities for this disappearance of MER
sometimes; effectively, calm zen attitude may be the best; is there any
stress (family return to work??? maybe something odd, or something "old"
"ancient" that comes up to her in that moment, in this period? a former
souvenir which emerges "today"; has there been such a (even short) period of
trouble when breastfeeding the siblings)? has she taken any medicine (even
homeopathy?? or herbs???); it seems there is no pain associated... can one
imagine a sudden "crisis" concerning her health?

Concerning oxytoxin spray, I have read it was not so efficient; I would like
to have your return if possible if you choose it. I had heard of "essence of
carvi" but nothing prooving its efficiency;

On my side, I am meeting a trouble with a mom; she suffers of powerful milk
ejection, her first baby had trouble (and also she) during the first 6
months while breastfeeding the older baby.
Now she has a second baby, she does not want to wait 6 months to have "good
breastfeedings"; giving the same breast (twice in a row , verily three times
in a row) makes nothing and would become dangereous, as the very powerful
MER is NOT paralleled with a copious breastmilk production;

Do you have any tip (homeopathy???) to diminish her MER without touching the
production itself???

Thanks in advance,

Françoise

I have had women contact me with similar situations while pumping for babies
about this age when they were
back to work, though more often at 7 mos. By the time we were through
troubleshooting the pump and talking about the whole relaxation thing, their
MER was back to normal...wonder what it is??? Hormones???
Kathy Lilleskov RN IBCLC (this whole new LN system, while it seems to be
ultimately fantastic is freaking me out, if I were breastfeeding this stress
would be causing delayed MER's for me!!!!)
