I also have had many of the moms I work with made to either feel very
guilty about breastfeeding their older infants or ordered to stop due to
false concerns that breastfeeding could cause dental carries or was the
cause of the dental carries that their child had. I had one mom who was
feeding her 10 month old raisins and teething biscuits all day long, and
only nursed 2x a day.  Of course she was told to stop and breastfeeding
was blamed for the carries. Neither the Dentist nor Pediatrician ever
asked her what else she might be doing.  There is nothing worse then
bathing teeth in carb sugars all day long. We know the sugar in human
milk is different and breaks down in the gut. I strongly suggest that

information that I can share with the Health Care Providers in my
community.
