Hello, everyone,

I am sending this directly to Liz Brooks since my question concerns ILCA but
I would appreciate hearing from others who have found themselves in similar
situations.

This type of scenario seems to come up often and there are always questions.
I have not given specifics but this is the situation:

A group of IBCLCs are being asked to do a workshop on breastfeeding ; the
workshop is funded by a formula company. The formula company will be present
on the day of the presentation.

Question 1: Can IBCLCs do a workshop and be paid by a formula company and
still respect the Code and the Standards of Practice for IBCLCs?

Question 2: Can CERPS be attributed for attending a workshop sponsored by a
formula company?

Thank you for your help.
