Dear Lactnetters,
I am currently working with a women 3 weeks post-partem diagnosed with
hemolytic anemia (unsure etiolgy). She is on 240mg of Methylprednisone a day
(Hale deals with up to 80 mg a day). The internist is concerned with the
amount of steroid and wants BF held. The Internist is willing to have a
pediatric consult to determine options for this dyad. Has anyone had any
experiance with this amount of steroid and this diagnosis.
Thank you
Karen Querna, RN, BSN, IBCLC
