Just realizing i have been remiss in introducing myself.

I am a long time pediatric nurse (17 years) and breastfeeding advocate
(since birth of my oldest in 1982). Nursed three of my own children for
a total of 11 1/2 years. I'm an LLL member and also a member of two
doula organizations (DONA and ALACE). Finished my Master's degree in
Family Studies last year. Am continuing to do research on doula assisted
families.....and the relationship to successful breastfeeding that is
seen in doula assisted women. Plan doctoral work that will allow me to
specialize in qualitative research methods.

I am employed as a Lactation Consultant in a rather progressive birthing
environment. Obtained CLE in 1995 and IBCLC in 1998.

Truly enjoying all the lactation banter here. Almost always go away with
a new research idea. KEEP TALKING!
