Dear Kate,
I can sympathize! Tried the LLL site to see if they had information - no luck -
This is what we have done at our hospital - our patients are from many different areas of the world, including India -
some of our staff are also from these areas. We wrote a script based on current BF info - then had our staff translate
it - onto cassette tapes. We have a bedside unit with a cassette player permanently attached and keep the cassette
in a locked drawer. She can then;push the bedside unit into the pt's room and play it for her and her family. It truly
warms the heart to see the espressions of the pts faces when they hear info in their own language. Another bonus -
they can listen to it as many times as they want.
