Ok ladies I need your help. I have this 6 week old infant I am working with who has gain 2 pounds since birth. It was a water birth in a birth center and this baby does some funky stuff with her tongue. Mom has had persistent plug ducts and now blebs. There is continual clicking at the breast and on finger. The clicking and moms pain did get less when the baby was sitting up all the way and leaning into mom and when mom was laying on her back and baby on top of her chest. This baby's tongue is all over the place. The tongue never cupped the finger or nipple when I was checking but moved out and forward. The baby does stay latched onto the breasts. Wants to suck 24/7 and is not a happy camper other than after the feed last night when I was there. I am checking lactnet and my books and what specific exercises can this mom do to help this baby keep the tongue from not thrusting? Any other thoughts send my way. I appreciate them all. Thanks!
