I've always learned, and found also in my experience and practice, that
babies who are not gaining need more VOLUME. This is except for cases of
disease, such as malabsorption, metabolic derangements, or limiting volume
due to cardiac, for example.

Therefore, I do not see the value of a creamatocrit for well babies. Could
see this in a nicu or Children's Hospital or Peds unit.
