Thank you for sharing your feelings so openly and eloquently, Patricia.

This has given me much food for thought, for in my volunteer work as a
WIC LC, I often encounter situations where I wonder if the mother is
trying to deny regret and force herself to accept what she (and her
myth-informed significant others) thinks is inevitable . . . . or is she
just plain relieved it's all over so she can get on with more perceived
control in her life with artificial feeding?

I always hesitate just how to phrase my comments. I think I need to make
myself a little "script" list of questions, starting with

<"would you still like to
breastfeed?">
