Most (all?) UK hospitals would not delay bf after a section - babies
are placed in mum's arms immediately and the mum and baby should be
helped to feed. The more enlightened/Baby friendly places will do
this literally immediately, before any wiping or wrapping.

If the mother has had  GA, the baby would be/should be helped to feed
as soon as she comes round. Sometimes,  this is not adhered to 100
per cent, but it's accepted that there is no reason not to bf as soon
as is wanted.
