I just wanted to share with this group what I heard from a mother in our
breastfeeding support group this week.
This mother is now 3 weeks postpartum. There was a question regarding plug
ducts and she stated that she noted after having her baby a lump in her axially
which was getting bigger each day postpartum. She asked her OB doctor what
it was. Now, instead of the usually issues I hear about accessory breast
tissue with extra ultrasounds ordered and threats to biopsy, this was a first.
He told her it was a pimple and to apply heat so it would come to a head
and then pop it! Thankfully this mother knew that did not sound correct and
did not follow his advise.
