Hi all,

I’m guessing I might find this answer online, but I keep getting kicked off.
I am hopeful I can stay on long enough for this email to go through.

I have had a mom ask me what kind of effect the antibiotics will have in her
breastmilk if she drinks it herself. Her baby was still born last Monday
and she developed a uterine infection over the weekend. She did tell me the
name of the antibiotic, but I was in the car and can’t read my writing :-)
This mom is expressing milk and is thinking about giving to a milk bank.
Since she is not well, she thought it would help her heal more quickly, but
she is worried that it may not be wise for her to drink the antibiotic
“residue”.

Also, is this milk considered donatable? If I recall this was a heavy duty
antibiotic.

Thanks so much,
Nikki Simmons
