Yes, I do think that you are right.  I work at a
hospital where BF babies are to feed every 3 hours.
Bottle babies feed every 4 hours.

I have long contended that the reason that moms stop
breastfeeding is that they are brought sleepy babies at
night when they are asleep.  The nurses wake the
mother, hand her a sleepy baby which will not latch and
tell her she must breastfeed.  She is tired and gives
up saying if it has to be fed, then give it a bottle in
the nursery.

I have been told by the powers that be, that I would
have to have documented research to support my position
that babies should only be brought to mom when it is
awake and looking to feed.
