At MCH we offer a program called bonding rooms, any mom who has an infant 
on antibiotics and will be discharged prior to the infant is set up with a 
bonding room.  Our facility allows the infant to stay with the mom in the room 
and receive their meds, for mom it is like being in a hotel.  There is a $25.00 
fee for the food, but if they can't afford it other arrangements are made.  This 
program has been a wonderful thing and has allowed our moms to continue to 
breastfeed until the infant is discharged.  Have a Merry christmas.
