Lechia asks "What is the going rate of breastmilk anyway? (I try to keep up
with this as it puts a $$ value to breastmilk. Dads like to hear
those numbers!)"

I don't know the price from milk banks, because we don't have any
here, but Doren Frederickson had some interesting figures at the ALCA
Conference here. He looked at the ingedients in breastmilk that are
now on the market - immunoglobulins, lactoferrin (?), etc. He put
the going market price on them, and then worked out the daily amount
in colostrum or breastmilk. BIG money. And that's just the
ingredients one can buy so far.
