<<<How about air analysis? Does that cost the same as blood testing?>>

afaik, vitamin d levels aren't assessed in hair analysis but i don't
know. i haven't looked.

right, but for a person with my skin tone, we're talking about 25 min
midday.

<<How about 10-15 min 2-3 times a week before 9am or after 5pm? I live in

i wish i had time to transmit all of this info but i just don't. the
info is out there. 10-15 min 2-3x a week before 9 or after 5 doesn't
come close except for maybe very pale people living very far south

<<None of my kids (1 briefly BFd, 2 excl BFd 6 mos & cont'd into
toddlerhood)

right. but rickets is *end stage* D deficiency. there's a large
serious area between optimal D levels and rickets. it was enough to
prevent rickets, but you won't know if it's enough for optimum health
until, well, until you know.

<<But those 2 had LOTS of sun exposure from baseball, swimming, band &
drum
> corps rehearsals, boating & camping on a lake, etc.>>

right. i'm thinking about my sisters kids - one is extremely fair and
she probably gets what she needs maybe even 9 mos a year in michigan.
extremely fair - can't get any sun exposure without a burn so she's very
cautious. her middle child is darker and tans well. he is very active
in sports and probably also gets enough d maybe 6 or so mos per year.

her other child probably has some level of d insufficiency and it'll
come out over time.

I didnt' have rickets but I was a loooooong way off from optimal D
levels.
