La Leche League International 40th Anniversary Conference Exhibit Coordinator:

La Leche League International does attend the Fall AAP meeting with the LLLI
exhibit (the Fall meeting is larger than the spring one). The reason LLLI does
not attend both meetings is purely a cost factor which has been mentioned
before. (i.e. the expense of flying two LLLI staff members, the exhibit, hotel &
food, cost of all the giveaway materials, etc., )

LLLI has a good and reciprocal relationship with AAP. AAP is a cosponsor of
LLLI's Annual Seminar for Physicians on Breastfeeding. Additionally, AAP &
LLLI swap booth space without charge for the International Conference and
Physicians Seminar for booth space at the AAP Fall Meeting.

I am handling the exhibits for the 40th Anniversary LLLI Conference in
Washington DC this coming July (as a volunteer, not paid staff) and have
arranged for a number of booth swaps so that LLLI can exhibit for free with
ASPO/Bradley//WIC/AAP/ILCA organizations at future conferences. We do what is
possible to keep the costs within our means and swapping booth space is one way
LLLI can attend more conferences than we would otherwise.

Still a few select spaces available if anyone wants to sell some nice nursing T
Shirts or other nursing friendly items! (small plug there !)
Sue
