My cat was still nursing from his mama after age 1 year, this while she was
nursing another litter.

He continued to nurse even after she was spayed, but then her milk dried up
shortly after.  At which time, she wouldn't let him on anymore.  He is bigger
than she.  He is 11 lbs and very long, compared to her small 7 lb body.  It
was funny.
