A mother beside herself with nipple trauma (a 6 month old and a vigorous
2 year old nursing) has asked this question regarding gentian violet.
So far this is the only thing to help her with the burning and itching
breasts. She says:
>... it took me two weeks to find somewhere that sells gentian
> violet, but finally found it on the web. The lactation consultant warned me
> not to take that because of some well known doctor expert DR. Lawrence told
> her that it was neuro-toxic and no one should had it in their mouth.

I do not have Dr. Ruth Lawrence's book. This isn't really how she feels
is it??? This isn't stated in any of her publications is it??? I
thought you would have to practically drown yourself in GV to have a
carcinogenic effect.
