I checked out references on olive oil and yeast - only thing I found was
a study where olive oil was used as the control agent compared to olive
oil plus origanum oil (I think that is the active ingredient in oregano
oil) in treating rats with systemic candida. The olive oil alone did
not help. Since this was not a topical treatment, I don't know if it
would have any application for nipple yeast.

Subject: re Olive oil and yeast

Just yesterday i ran across this topic in a 2002 Mothering Magazine
article written by Dr Chris Hafner-Eaton (ibclc). She said "Olive Oil
cantains linoleic acids, which are antifungal and may cut off the
yeast's oxygen supply".

I say "hmmm???" I know that olive oil is touted for many health care
cures but i have no experience with this.

Vinegar diluted in water works very well. Yeast do not like an acidic
environment.
